Kinda of a Crazy Question

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

The Extrapolated Position is not a model ... extrapolation is assuming a straight line based on the current heading of a storm. So the plots seen with XTRAP is simply put, should a storm follow a straight line based on current movement, that's where it would go based on its motion currently. (which of course, doesn't happen since the atmosphere is a fluid and dynamic river of air.)

Yes indeed, the "XTRAP 'model'" (for lack of another word) extrapolates as the name indicates.

As for a tropical cyclone never actually following this path. If and when nothing can change the movement over a period of time, then that "model" will be the ultimate track of the system.
