Tropcial moisture in gulf

#1 Postby One Eye » Sun Sep 21, 2003 8:29 am

With all that tropical moisture in gulf on the infared sat, you would think that tropical development would be possible. However, looking at the loop you can see upper level jet energy streaking from east to west which would inhibit any kind of development. The NHC does not even mention the storms in gulf in the tropecal weather outlook. This weak low off Texas and a westerly moving tropical wave off Florida panhandle could bring locally flash flooding to the gulf coast states in the next couple of days.

already talking about it. I was kind of surprised to hear it this early. He said it would move into the area between LA and Tampa/St. Pete. He did not, however, define "it". Another wait and see.
