Go to the tropical weather center, and click the link for photos, and go through the album. About 20 or 25 pictures in there of various things; although I had more, some of which did not turn out well. At least 75% of houses in the area suffered some sort of damage.
Pictures from Hurricane Isabel now available.

Those are some great pictures, Scott. Looks like there will be some cleanup for weeks to come. Too bad the old plantation house suffered such damage - as a history buff, I believe it's so important to preserve our heritage.

The trees are a curse and a blessing. I have a lot of trees compared to my neighbors, and (1) my house is cheaper to cool in the summer, and about the same to heat in the winter (leaves leave,) and (2) during these storms, I usually don't experience as high a wind as my neighbors do, because the trees block some of it. There are a lot of crop type fields around here, so the winds can get a good fetch, my neighbor said he felt his house shaking during a couple of gusts, I never felt any gusts that strong. (My house shook during Bertha, Fran, and Floyd so its not because my house is stronger or anything.) I have a tin roof, as well, and it's never lifted or anything during any of the 6 TS/H's that have passed through here in the past 7 years.
The curse is the fear that a branch (or whole tree) is going to drop on you, or your car (Over the years, I have lost 3 windshields, had 3k of mostly cosmetic damage to a truck, had a roof caved in on a car, and this storm I had another roof cave-in in a truck, but the funny thing is it's probably worth more in parts, and I now I don't have to fix it (It needed it's engine stuck back in it, it runs, just needed reinstallation, and I hated to strip the a truck that old that still ran good and had a good body, but hey, now it doesn't have a good body, so I won't feel bad! So all in all, I'll have more money and do less work, thanks to the branch.) I have found a spot with my neighbor to put all the cars I have that can move safely away from any limbs or trees, so I have learned a little over the past few years! The one good thing about the semi-yearly storms is they keep the branches at least semi-pruned. I had the most branches down by far after Bertha (the first of the recent spate of storms to hit.) Since then, about the same amount to limbs come down after every storm. My yard was covered in about a inch of debris (leaves and twigs.)
