T.D. #16 GETTING BETTER ORGANIZED

#1 Postby tropicsPR » Thu Sep 25, 2003 6:14 pm

I just saw the latest Infrared Image of T.D#16 at the Naval Research Laboratory Web site and the depression is looking more and more like the next tropical storm. Also, I noticed a more westward movement. Any comments or opinions?

Its a fish...might be nice to look at in a few days but Carribean is much more interesting as the question is will it develop or not.

My opinion is if it stays at a low latitud it might not be a fish after all but it all depends on if it begins to climb in latitud soon.

Wasn't Isabel supposed to be a fish in its early stages.

Have you seen the monster ridge GFS and CMC is building. Yes, it is a surface ridge, though it may serve to prevent an out to sea movement.

Also, GFS's recurvature is complete dung, IMO. Systems this low moving to the west usually do not radically recurve. I do not see a big trough dropping down to do the trick this time

Agreed. I refuse to believe TD16 will recurve as radically as forecast.

Yes, plenty of Crow munching for the fish forecasters. NHC did a awesome job.

Isabel wasn't really expected to be move out to see in its early stages. The forecast track at that point showed a curve, not necessarily a recurving system.
