W.Carib slowly organizing

#1 Postby Vortex » Fri Sep 26, 2003 12:45 pm

pressures have fallen some over the western carribean over the last 24 hrs. Latest W vapor imagery and forecasted synoptic environment indicates a very favorable environment over the region. The caveat may be land interaction if the llc forms or moves over the yucatan. If the system can remain over the gulf of honduras or yucatan channel then we likely will be dealing with something more than a depression. Either way south florida is in for a very wet period with an increasing onshore component early next week as this region will be caught between the developing low and strong ridge to the north. Stay tuned...

many stations now reporting west winds this may be a combination of daily sea-breezes and/or the development of a LLC NE of the coast of Honduras.
