T.D. 17 looks to be here very soon probably at 11P.M.

Looking at Satellite Loops and other loops, it looks like T.D. 17 will be here really soon, if its not already here. But as a front is coming down from the north, it looks like it should take the system into florida. What we need to watch for is to see how far south that front gets, and how strong it gets, if it stays weak, and stall alone the gulf coast, im looking at more of a central gulf of mexico landfall.

They will wait for first visbles tommorow morning and then they will go from there and also recon will go in the afternoon too so they may wait or for the visbles or for recon.

Now I was wrong about the NHC's upgrading of TD 16. I thought they'd give it another 24 hours since it was WAY out to sea and no threat to land. I thought they would make sure the convection would persist before naming it.

Well, the system in the Caribbean is NOT way out to sea. There is a recon plane scheduled to investigate it tomorrow afternoon, and I cannot imagine the NHC upgrading it to a TD with no hard data supporting an LLC. When they upgrade it, they need to be prepared to forecast where it will hit land and they may need to immediately issue a TS watch for south Florida. That's not something they will take lightly. So I say no way will the NHC upgrade it until recon finds an LLC, or unless surface observations overwhelmingly indicate a strong LLC. And that's not going to happen tonight.

Don't forget a watch for Central Florida too as well as south Florida.. because if the storm keeps moving North.. It will be further north when the sling shot effect takes place to move it Northeast.

Yeah lets wait for tomorrow when the hurricane plane will go in there if at all. South Florida needs to keep an eye out.
