It still remains to be seen...

Tropical Storm Nicholas may weaken and not form, but with forecasts calling for it to become a moderate to strong tropical storm in the next few days. Something to watch even in mid October.

Tropical development in the area Nicholas formed is rare this time of year, but as it moves along, we should all agree that this system should be monitored to see what it does.

It looks like the NHC couldn't find the center again last night. It's west of the convection - fully exposed near 13.6N/46.5W. Shows up clearly on visible imagery. Doesn't look like a 50kt TS.

Tough environment out there for sure but TWC still saying it will be a Hurricane. They may be a little optimistic.

The posts or stuff said are NOT an official forecast and my opinion alone. Please look to the NHC and NWS for official forecasts and products.

Model Runs Cheat Sheet:
GFS (5:30 AM/PM, 11:30 AM/PM)
HWRF, GFDL, UKMET, NAVGEM (6:30-8:00 AM/PM, 12:30-2:00 AM/PM)
ECMWF (1:45 AM/PM)
TCVN is a weighted averaged

Opinions my own.
