What is that blob southwest of Nicholas?
Near 8N/57W. It looks much bigger and has a hooked appeareance, but it seems to be just the effect of the sw flow in the area. Or is it something trying to get its act together under all that shear???

Part of the ITCZ interacting with a trough nearby and the divergent flow is flaring that area but let's watch it to see if something trys to get going and remember that in 1999 Jose formed around that area.
