That's the wave that was passing southwest of Nicholas on Friday/Saturday. It's interacting with an upper-level trof. Wind shear will increase with time over the eastern Caribbean, so development is unlikely.

Heavy rains over portions of the islands

#6 Postby tropicana » Sun Oct 19, 2003 11:56 am

That disturbance is producing torrential rains over portions of the Windward Islands. Barbados (TBPB) reported several hours of thunderstorm activity and south winds sustained to 30mph at 1400Z.
St Vincent (TVSV) also reported thunderstorm activity all morning. Tobago (TTCP) had a thunderstorm pass through at 1200Z.
