Looking at the lastest runs, it seems that he will not give up until he make landfall somewere.

I don't know why they're tracking Nicholas, as it's almost an imperceptible swirl being absorbed into the much-larger frontal/subtropical low about 500 miles south of Bermuda. The two should become one soon.

They (NHC) seems to think that the remnants of Nicholas will become the dominant low. The only chance of any development of a tropical nature would be a subtropical cyclone (mainly due to convection well away from the LLC and a strong pressure gradient from the strong N Central ATL ridge (I think it's analyzed around 1036 mb about 250 miles E of Newfoundland).

I have quite a bit of catching up to do since I just got home.
