NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO TX
700 AM CST TUE NOV 18 2003

...RED FLAG WARNING TODAY FOR THE EDWARDS PLATEAU...HILL
COUNTRY...WINTER GARDEN AND SOUTHERN BALCONES ESCARPMENT ANTONIO
AREAS...INCLUDING THE CITIES OF DEL RIO AND SAN ANTONIO...

THE RED FLAG WARNING INCLUDES THE COUNTIES OF...
ATASCOSA-BANDERA-BEXAR-BLANCO-BURNET-COMAL-DIMMIT-EDWARDS-FRIO-
GILLESPIE-GUADALUPE-HAYS-KENDALL-KERR-KINNEY-LLANO-MAVERICK-MEDINA-
REAL-UVALDE-VAL VERDE-WILSON AND ZAVALA.

WINDS WILL INCREASE DRAMATICALLY AND RELATIVE HUMIDITIES DROP
BY MID MORNING AS HIGH PRESSURE SURGES INTO THE HILL COUNTRY
AND SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS. TWENTY FOOT WINDS WILL BE NORTH WEST
AT AROUND 15 MPH WHILE RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL DROP TO NEAR 15
PERCENT IN THE DEL RIO AREA AND 20 TO 25 PERCENT ELSEWHERE IN THE RED
FLAG WARNING AREA. WINDS WILL START TO EASE AROUND NIGHTFALL.

RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL BE LOWER STILL WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON BUT
WINDS WILL BE MUCH LIGHTER...GENERALLY 5 TO 10 MPH.
