Fire weather advisory, high wind warning posted for SoCal

#1 Postby btangy » Fri Nov 21, 2003 7:15 pm

What firefighters were not hoping to see anytime soon again, but a high wind warning has been posted for most of the mountains of SoCal and with that a fire weather watch. I've heard reports that the Cedar Fire in San Diego county hasn't even been controlled yet (contained, yes, but not extinguished), so flying embers could again pose a problem. And of course, there are those pyros out there that can cause massive trouble. We've seen some beneficial rain recently, so hopefully that will preclude any sort of large wildfire that we saw last month.
