Snow line?

Well it looks like we have a very interesting storm (storms) facing us end of the week and into the weekend.

The always tricky snow line will be hard to pin down.

Please post your thoughts and predictions where it will set-up and snowfall amounts.

For example...Snowline will be West of I-81 in Central Va up Central MD and then just west of I-95 from Philly north.

My prediction of the primary snow line for Friday night through Sunday:

NC: north of I-40 and west of I-77
VA: west of I-77 (south of the I-81 junction), then west of I-81 up to Roanoke, then about 30 miles east of I-81 up to the MD state line
MD: west of (and including) Frederick, Westminster and Manchester
PA: west of (and including) New Freedom, Lancaster, Reading, Allentown, and Easton
NJ: north of I-78 and north/west of Rt. 57 up to Rt. 517, then Rt. 517 up to Rt. 94
NY: north of Rt. 6 and/or west of I-87 and Rt. 17

JCT777...thank you for the response. Very detailed.

Looks like Winchester, Va should have snow then, it lies right on I-81 in Northwestern part of the state.

Any snowfall amount predictions?

No predictions yet, as I am waiting to see what the computer models say later today and tonight. I will try to post a snow prediction map tomorrow.
