Wow... it's been a long time since I've pulled up observations for a tropical system. With moving and class I've been really busy. Hopefully, now that I'm pretty much settled in as well as the class almost being finished (6 more days!), I'll be able to start providing more surface observations for tropical cyclones about to make landfall -- worldwide.
So without further ado... or something like that... here's a few obs I pulled up in regards to Invest #98L. Not a great deal of obs to work with, just a few along coastal Colombia.
All obs are from 04/0200Z except for the first obs which is a 04/0100Z ob.
Santa Marta/Simon Bolivar: Few at 2,000ft (Cumulonimbus), Broken at 20,000ft. Unlimited Visibility with Thunderstorms. Temp: 81°F Dewpoint: 73°F. Winds were Calm. Pressure was 29.77"
Cartagena: Scattered at 1,000ft, Broken at 7,000ft. 4.5mi visibility with light rain. Temp: 79°F Dewpoint: 75°F. Winds were SW at 18mph. Pressure was 29.83"
Barranquilla: Scattered at 1,200ft, Broken at 7,000ft. Unlimited visibility with drizzle. Temp: 81°F Dewpoint: 75°F Winds were Calm. Pressure was 29.84"
