Hey breeze......(duck recipes)

I was looking over the recipe thread and saw that you are looking for some duck recipes. Here are a couple that were given to me by buddy who swears by them. Personally, I have yet to put them to the test but they sure sound good.

Bone Sucking Duck

Place the duck on a piece of foil about three times larger than the bird...
Salt/pepper inside and out.and.stuff cavity with onions/apples
Pput brown mustard on breast.and.cover with apple slices and a few strips of bacon...
Place another peice of foil on top and seal the edge so no moisture escapes..
Cook slow..325* for two to three hours in oven...When it comes out you can suck the meat off the bones...serve with bouillon rice....Its gggooood and not sweet like some stuff...Takes 5 minutes to get ready for the oven......

Duck Stew

6-8 Duck Breasts (Can also use grouse or other game birds)
4 carrots chopped into chunks
2 Stalks celery, chopped
3 potatoes, chopped
Any other veggies you want to add
Flour
Whatever spices you want to add

Chop duck breast into approx. 1-inch chunks and place in crock pot with a little water over low heat for a couple of hours. Add in the veggies and cook another couple hours. Mix flour and a little bit of water in a bowl, should form a paste. Then slowly add more water to flour mixture and continue to mix, once you get a fairly thin mixture of flour/water then add it to the crock pot and continue to heat; this will form a thickened gravy. Once it is thickened a little it is ready to eat.
