Thank Goodness for Thursday!!!!
Thank Goodness its Thursday.....the first full week of being back to work for alot of folks who took timeoff during the holidays. How is everyone surviving? I am swamped at work - besides taking up the slack of my regular employee being out on maternity leave - I have to get out 1099's and month-end closing. I am so glad tomorrow's Friday and two days off for the weekend....why can't the just be longer....

Ticka - I feel for you being an ex-General Ledger manager. They're in the middle of year-end closing, which between the auditors and various statements to be filed, it isn't done until the end of March. THEN it's time for the first quarter close. UGHH!!!
I'm looking forward to the weekend to sleep in. We had to work last Saturday because my department is helping the General Ledger department since they have people out on maternity leave. I've been falling asleep earlier than normal this week. I'm sure it'll be an early Friday night for me!

Its a cake down here in the south to celebrate Mardi Gras - usually there is a prize or little plastic baby - if you get it in your portion of the cake - there are lots of traditions that go with it.....

Thanks for the info, Ticka. I actually thought it was either a reference to the three kings who visited Jesus (which occured after Christmas), or a reference to Martin Luther King (MLK Day is next week).
