Apologies to Jacki-Lynne, but...

#1 Postby streetsoldier » Fri Jan 09, 2004 9:27 pm

I had to go to the Wally World to get some NyQuil and Kleenex with aloe for Debi, and...

Somebody opened a can of "yokel" and let them loose in the store...I haven't seen so much evidence of "in-breeding" since the "Welcome Home, Jessi" parade!

Hee Haw!

There's some festivals, fairs and such around here. They must come from every hill and holler around.

Bahahahahahahaha!!! especially at the reference to West Virginia! :) As much as I talk down about KY (mostly because of eastern KY), I gotta tell ya -- in the ER, we used to talk about how KY ranked so low in education and so high in teen pregnancy rates. But it was never #50 or #1. Why? The answer was always, "Thank God for West Virginia!"

"Why do non-Catholics celebrate Mardi Gras, when they don't have to give up anything for Lent?"

When, and/or where else can they get a chance to drink themselves silly, the girls flashing their **** and being rewarded with worthless, but pretty strings of beads...and all on TV, too?

I heard you weren't feeling well. I hope you feel even better soon Jacki. I've got a small cold myself. The cold weather is just nuts here. It's 13 at midnight without snow cover with a minus 5 wind chill.

Jim

Sorry guys. I was born a raised in West Virginia and love that state!!!! I really enjoy the jokes but don't particularly like the reference to Jessi.

My APOLOGIES TO ALL...actually, it was an afterthought.

I HAD considered saying "Debi's family reunion" at first...

Yeah, but they can still drink themselves silly from Ash Wednesday until Easter and beyond. The whole point of Catholics doing it is to get it all out of our system so we can abstain for 40 days (actually it's longer than 40 because Sundays don't count).

Honestly, from what I've seen here during Beach Party, Spring Breaks, St. Patty's Day, and other various Galveston festivals, as well as what I saw in NOLA last summer (not during MG), it seems anyone can drink themselves silly, watch you-know-what being flashed, and catch beads almost all year long. :)
