Larchmont, New York

After hanging on the dangerous precipice of the rain-snow line--a lot of sleet pelted the area for about an hour--it appears that the cold air has held for now and even pushed back the dreaded forces of warmth. The sleet here is giving way to light snow. Whether this is temporary, remains to be seen. Ultimately, colder air should arrive in time to end the precipitation as a period of snow or flurries even if it does change to rain for a time here in the NYC suburbs.
