The map represents snow depth on the ground, not predicted snowfall. We'll see about this---we're certainly overdue a good snow in New Orleans. We haven't really had any since 1989 when South Louisiana was covered with depths ranging from 1 to 5 inches and temps in New Orleans stayed below 15F for 18 hours and 3 days below 32F. This may materialize---we've been lucky to go this long without any serious frigid air.

i dont see what all the fuss is. that run of the GFS at that range is about as likely to verify as howard dean becoming president.

The GFS is like my wife getting ready to go out to eat....can't make up it's mind and changes it's look a hundred times before giving it's "final answer". :lol:
