Sick of Snow? By Accuweather.com meteorologist Matthew Rinde

Talking to even the more avid winter enthusiasts here at AccuWeather.com, the feeling is edging toward the feeling that less snow is better. There are still the diehard fans of the winter snow storms, and fortunately for them it will continue be a snowy pattern. One storm will leave the East Coast this morning. This is the last piece of a 2-3 tiered storm that moved through during the last 48 hours. And with a storm last Friday into Friday night, the eastern United States has received a fair share of snowfall, and a good part of the Southeast had some ice. The next three days will be more tranquil in the eastern United States, but the Pacific Northwest will pick up where the East left off, with heavy snow possible over the mountains of the region. The Cascades will be especially hit hard with some places receiving over a foot of snow and maybe up to two feet during the next 24 hours. This moisture will spread inland bringing moderate snow to the Blue Mountains in Oregon where 3-6 inches of snow will fall. This snow will continue into tomorrow and Friday with additional heavy snowfall. In the East, the Great Lakes will have snow into tomorrow, but no organized areas of snow bands should develop.
