Grammy update - Justin Timberlake won Best Male Pop Vocal Artist. He was very humble, in his jacket and tie but he took the opportunity to say and I'm paraphrasing mind you....
"It's been a rough week, what happened was unintentional, completely regrettable, and if any of you were offended, I'm deeply sorry"
He kept looking at his family, mainly his mom, and implying something, as to say let's not go there.
Just thought you'd all like to know.....I'm sure you were all dying to know what J.T. would do when on stage again. LOL I suspected he'd be this humble and well mannered.

I saw that - he did seem sincere in his apology.
I can see now why there was no mention of Justin being "uninvited" to the Grammys since he was one of the winners.
On a side note - did you see Celine Dion sing "Dance With My Father"? That song always brings a tear to my eye. THEN, they had a video of Luther Vandross who thanked everyone for their prayers and sang "I believe in the power of love...". I lost it then!

Well, to be honest we're not watching the Grammy's that intently. They are on but we're packing lunches, getting backpacks together for Monday morning. I'm more interested in seeing the Beatles tribute. Already saw clips/messages from Ringo and Paul. I almost missed that Justin moment. Thought I'd post it here for those interested.

I saw the playback of Justin's apology this morning... and to contrast Stephanie... I don't think he seemed sincere at all. CBS told him he had to apologize and if you notice, there is a smirk on his face.
Some people never feel compelled to realize they did something wrong.

I thought he seemed sincere. He was joking back and forth with his family over something his mom probably said, but other than that I thought it was a sincere apology. I got the wording a little wrong, before anyone points that out, but you get the gist of his apology. It was heartfelt, IMO.
For the record, here is Justin's actual apology -
"I know it's been a rough week on everybody," he said. "What occurred was unintentional, completely regrettable, and I apologize if you guys are offended."

As for the apology, it would have been more meaningful right after the performance at the Super Bowl. Something about an apology on the stage a week later that's not the same.
Steve - yup. It's the only awards show Jim watches. Did you know he votes every year? Yes, he's a member of Naras. We keep hoping more local artists are included each year. A few have but not any names you'd recognize.

I agree 100% He is lying..plain and simple. Janet already admitted this was staged, she's sorry. (at least she had the nerve to admit to what she did). What wasn't intentional about what happened? Did he not reach over, grab a handful of boob, and rip it off? They must think the American public are complete idiots!
I'm disgusted by his arrogance, and frankly, while I'm on this subject...that had to be the absolute worst Grammy awards show ever! Every other performance was some thug rapper. Heck...they couldn't even leave Sting up there w/o mixing in some hip hop, Marleyesque ripoff.

I agree also. He basically repeated what he said the first time around and I didn't believe him then.
The show was AWFUL! I'm not a big fan a Celine Dion. But I felt for her when they didn't have the audio set up correctly.
As for Sting, the reggae version of Roxanne is actually a couple of years old. There as a compilation album of reggae artists' tributes to the Police. Some group called Aswad did "Roxanne" but I'm not sure if those were the same guys there last night.
I'm confused about June Carter-Cash's song. Isn't that an oldie? Was it re-released as a single again this year? Or was it on a soundtrack? In other words, how'd it win?
And just who the heck did Quentin Tarantino think he was last night?
