LWX: 70's possible next weekend! :)

#1 Postby Anonymous » Sun Feb 22, 2004 4:57 pm

I've said it before and I'll say it again, now that this final potential threat has fallen apart, let's get on with the pleasant, warm days of Spring!

COULD BE ANOTHER VERY SPRING-LIKE WARM UP IN STORE NEXT WEEKEND. GFS/CANADIAN/UKMET AND ENSEMBLE MEMBERS SHOW GOOD AGREEMENT WITH BUILDING 570+DM HEIGHTS OVERHEAD. IF THIS OCCURS...WILL LIKELY SEE SOME 70S IN OUR FORECAST AREA (564DM HEIGHTS LAST WEEK BROUGHT MID 60S TO CENTRAL VIRGINIA). DUE TO LOWER CONFIDENCE OF DAY 6/7 IN EXTENDED...PLACED HIGHEST GFS ENSEMBLE MOS TEMPERATURE VALUES AS THE FORECAST INTO GRIDS. WILL LIKELY HAVE TO TWEAK UP DURING THE NEXT FEW DAYS IF GUIDANCE CONTINUES TO ADVERTISE THIS PATTERN.

I'm hoping the ridge will stay in place and give us an extended early taste of spring... much, much better than the climo average, which is simply coolish days with highs in the low 50's without much chance of snow.

(spoken in nasal)

Oh no, early spring, this means I, I can't get within 10 ft of a plant for the next two months :(

Yeah, I am highly, highly allergic to pollen. I pretty much can't go outside in April without getting very sick
