#1 Postby LMolineux » Fri Mar 19, 2004 4:22 pm

Welp i wound up with 4 inches total. Most of it melted today. Down to 1 inch remaining here. It looked so nice this morning. Still looks good where it is still currently snow covered.

I Know

#2 Postby Aslkahuna » Fri Mar 19, 2004 8:11 pm

that you have been taking a lot of flak on another site about your observations. I drafted a lengthy discourse on instrumentation, Micro and mesoscale influences but as fate would have it the place crashed and burned before I could post it. Without knowing the terrain influences (or lack of same) in your area I can not comment on the accuracy of your observations-nor for that matter can anyone else. Next time you get called like that on any site, my advice to you is instead of going off the deep end simply ask those who question you how much experience do they have in instrumentation, Micro and MesoMeterology and in surveying observation sites. If they say none then tell them they are not qualified to comment. But in the meantime, it would help to get a digital camera (an expensive one is not necessary) so that you can post images of what you observe on any site.

what I tried to post at the other site-it was a very lengthy discourse and like most of my longer and more pithy ones it probably would have killed the thread :D I found it hard to reason why certain things happened there.

Steve, the same thing happened to me-I spent a good ten minutes typing up a post on the VP candidates in the OT forum and by the time I posted it the place was down.. oh well, not like I would have been doing anything productive anyway :)

Apparently. They have restored the site but everything posted after March 11th has been flushed down the crapper and the Superthread ist kaput!

Steve, I think that explanation in shorter form would be a very good idea there as soon as possible. The longer posts are more easily missed.

a couple of posts of that nature in the "Poll" regarding Forecast discussion rules-a thread which no longer exists today.
