I knew when I saw it, that damage would be done, and lives lost. Brazil wanted to avoid a panic, CRAZY!!!

Well once they come to their senses and accept what has happened they'll be re-writing textbooks down there.

They won't be the only ones rewriting textbooks...

MUCH research will be done on this one, plus another tropical system that formed in January (saw this on another website today...)

VERY interesting...

And you've got to wonder about climate change, huh??? (or is it just an Earth cycle??? HMMMM...) :eek:

Some very valid thoughts there!!!! Definitely one for the record books and definitely makes one go HHHMMMMM?????? about a lot of things weather wise.

It is terrible that the people of Brazil had no chance to prepare for this horrible event. Who is to blame? The Brazilian Govt. needs to take some of the blame for the lost life. I doubt much could be done to eliminate the property damage but people could have been sheltered in time to avoid death. The fishing boat may not have been out on the water if they had been informed. There is no way to know but I do hope the govt will wise up and make preparations if an event like this one ever threatens again. :(
