"Sitting on the Front Porch"

#1 Postby azsnowman » Wed Apr 21, 2004 6:21 am

With the cold winds of winter behind us (for the most part), it's time to leave the Pot Belly Stove and move out to the Front Porch. The Front Porch is a place to sit, shoot the breeze, talk about your day, the weather and enjoy the company of fellow weather nuts! So....come on, have a seat, put up your feet, rest a spell, have a glass of iced tea!

Dennis :sun:

Yay! I have been looking forward to this day for weeks. I'll put out some lemonade...and hope Crouton doesn't get it.

OK Dennis...looks like 100 degrees on my front porch next week. Just in time to walk away from that PBS.

Crouton is busy cleaning up the year...and Slowpoke is enjoying the sun.

Lemonade is refreshing...thank! Brought some butterscotch pie for later this afternoon! Iced tea goes great with it.

Meanwhile, I'll sweep off the porch and make way for visitors.

AHHHH! I love that front porch! We just need to remember to watch the rocking chairs so we don't catch Slowpoke!

Crouton!!!! Come back here!!! Bring back that lemonade!!!!! I'm thirsty!!!
Dang, foiled again!!

Dennis thanks for opening the porch. I may need to stay on it this weekend if our weather pans out like the locals are progging. Can't it at least rain when I don't have time to do any of the yard work? :(

Everyone have a great day!!!

Vb... I assume you have "honey-do's" lined up for the weekend, eh?

Popsky... I think I will go ahead and eat a piece of that pie (even though it is just 9 a.m. here!) I don't want to run the risk of there being none later. ;)

Ahhh what a welcome site...fresh lemonade, butterscotch pie...now, Steve, that sounds REALLY yummy! Do you ship?lol

It's still quite breezy and a little cool in my new parts...we'll see the very low 80's again this weekend tho, and thats a very welcome site! I'm still waiting to be initiated into Southern Cal's HOT sunny wx! :O)

Sunday we took about a 4 hour drive through the Cajone Pass into Las Vegas...(Jim's pics from chat piqued my interest)...and all I can say is WOW! What an incredible city...There is so much to do...and I was surprised at how CLEAN the city was....I don't why I expected dirty... We are planning many more trips out that way in the near future...I'm thinking I'm never going to make it to Disneyland and my season passes, we're finding so much other stuff to do! :O)

Well, I'm going to sit back and rest my feet a while, sip some lemonade and wait to see who pops by...

Have a great week!

So glad to see the front porch is open for business again. Isn't it wonderful to see some nice weather. I love that the days are so nice and warm but the nights still cool enough to keep the windows. Not looking forward to this season's air conditioning bills.

Good to be out on the porch again!

Well severe wx is progged to break out after 5pm, so I'm hoping it isn't til after 545 so I can reach church...

I'll put out a fresh jug of lemonade and this time will leave it where Crouton can't get it!

Goodness, Dennis! I was certainly hoping to see
the Front Porch come alive, soon!

That butterscotch pie was most delicious,
Poppysky - I nudged Garrett into saving me
a piece! ;)

Furluv, it sounds like you are enjoying your new
home! Are you anywhere near Orange County?

Jeremy, take care out there! The nasty stuff
looks to be skipping north of me - straight to
YOU!

All of you, have a great evening!

For the record...butterscotch pie is the only scratch pie I make anymore...and it just doesn't ship well!

So you will have to place your order so I can make another here soon. I'll need some boiled milk, flour, egg yolks, and brown sugar for starters....

Looking like 90+ over the weekend, so maybe I can cook it out right there out in the sun!

Ah, the front porch! Watching the clouds go by. Hey that one looks like a strato-bunny cloud. And there's a Nimbo-elephant!
