26th Conference on Hurricanes and Tropical Meteorology

Ok, only 5 days to the 26th Conference on Hurricanes and Tropical Meteorology in Miami Beach, FL (link below). Who's planning on attending? I know Derek is presenting a paper there on Tuesday at 11:15am, I think. Too bad I won't be able to catch his talk as there are 4 concurrent talks going on and I'll be at the Tropical Cyclone Prediction and Predictability II: Track and Intensity discussion. My co-worker will be there, however.

Chris let's us know the most important things that the conference speakers will say.I want to know about the intensity forecast what new tools they have to improve them. Have a good time there.

I wish I would have planned on being there. :-( Maybe next year I can get it on the calendar. Keep us posted on the events! :-)

This conference is every 2 years, so you'll have to wait until 2006. Registration is $330-$400, I believe.

At this conference, they may also announce the retired names for Lili, Fabian, isabel, and Juan. (BEST GUESSES FOR 2003)

This is a research confrence, not where operational decisions are made. Thus, I doubt that any announcements regarding the retirement of names will be made
