Breeze made it to Cajun Country!!!!!
Talked to Breeze today. She and Suz made it in last night. But gee whiz, I think she brought the rain with her! Stormed quite a bit today! Hopefully we'll get together tomorrow!

LOL, it RAINED...and, RAINED....and, RAINED!!
It was good to talk to Kathy, but, the rain just
kept a get-together from happening! Suzy and I
were at the actual festival for about two hours before
a storm blew in (NOT me - I was already
there!
) and we bailed for the Blazer! We
got to get enough feel for it to know that we both
want to go back, though. Lafayette is really a
nice place! The people are friendly, the food is
absolutely delicious (crawfish are yummy!), and,
the music and dancing is fun! We went down to
Randol's Restaurant and Cajun Dance Hall, where
you watch people dance to the live cajun
band while you eat your meal. I figured that Suzy
would be bored, and, even though she doesn't eat
seafood, that ended up being her favorite stop!
We left at 5:45am, this morning, and got back
around 4:00pm...about 650 miles, but, well worth
the trip! I'm PooPed, but, thanks for the
encouragement to "come on down", Kathy -
we had a great time!

Breeze....YOU WERE A MILE FROM MY HOUSE when you went to Randal's! Remember the Citgo Gas Station at the redlight before Randal's? Take a left and you'll find my house!
Sorry we couldn't get together but those storms were horrific. Plus my daughters dance revue didn't help matters!
Next time...I promise.

Gee, we were joking about the storm/rain Annette! You didn't have to really do a rain dance....LOL That's a rotten shame you two couldn't meet and that it rained buckets. Dang it! But it sounded like it didn't dampen your spirits, happy to hear that!!! Here's to the next time..... And you did have Suzy along, we all were with you in spirit.
Wanna come north and eat some chocolate covered cicadas? LOL I recently read that even though several states will soon be hit with the little buggers, Cincinnati is at ground zero for the invasion. Over 5 Billion! Road trip?
