Amazing, haven't seen so many large intense thunderstorms in one area like this in a long time. There's so much red! :eek:

Watch the cells with Base reflectivity returns >60 DBZ for VERY LG hail.

Base reflectivity or for that matter VIL's of 70 would imply VERY LARGE hail.

Also notice convection going along the cold front back into texas. you can almost make out where the dry line and cold front intersect.

we had reflectivities of 70 dBZ last July 25th here in SV and there was no hail reported-just 2-4 inches of rain in 20 minutes (6-12 in/hr rainfall rates).
