Need Travel contacts...
I'm traveling from Florence to Tampa, FL starting Saturday at noon...we're going straight down I-75 all the way but may wind up taking circle routes like I-285 around ATL or 275 around the Tampa metro...I need anyone who is willing and able to tell me ANYTHING about conditions, construction, etc. (in TN, GA or FL) to PM me their phone #'s so that I can call via cell phone and try to get up to date info as I do travel this weekend...again please PM me your contact info...thanks...

Jeremy - does your family have AAA services? It costs roughly about $60 a year. For that fee you're entitled to trip tics, maps, tour books, travel brochures. Probably more with tow truck services, I've never needed that service though, thankfully. I do know if time is of the essence and you're a AAA member already, you can download a trip tic. Trip tics are great b/c they contain current road construction areas. We have our vacation booked in July and I have on my calendar a reminder to order my Trip Tic the week before. AAA doesn't even want to issue them far ahead, they check road conditions daily I get the impression. Another nice perk from AAA is discounted tickets to Kings Island, the Aquarium, and a long list of places like that. You can just present your AAA card at various museums, for a few bucks off. I'd say by year's end, we've certainly used up that service fee! With a Kings Island day ticket running about $44 bucks I heard, it's worth it having a AAA membership. We also purchase our kids KI annual passes - they're still $79.99. They don't even have to go 2 complete times to recoup the pass price.
