UPDATE: I am about to enter a storm... :(

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Thu Jun 03, 2004 3:46 pm

and No I'm not going chasing...

I may be at the stages of a potential developing problem...

Mom got her warning today and I got I guess the final warning shot. According to the people at her nursing home.. starting as early as 3-4 weeks from now.. Her money will probably no longer be hers and It will go to the home to pay for her stay...

Well... I am still WAITING for a copy of my birth certificate to come in the mail. {without it I can not go get an ID or go looking for a job :sad: }

Even though I am strong willed and should not worry because I KNOW I will find a way to succeed under pressure... I am still scared to death that my landlord here will end up kicking me out.

I am saying a lot of prayers. My birth certificate did not come in the mail today.. I should be getting it sometime this month because I sent for it at the beginning of May...

I also don't know if I have anybody who would let me stay with them in the event that I do get kicked out... so needless to say.. I'm a little nervous right now..

I even tried to talk mom into the idea of coming home, but she feels very safe where she is {even though she doesn't like it much}... compared to here at the apt. where she doesn't feel safe at all...

{praying my birth certificate comes and praying for miracles here}

:eek: :eek: :sad: :sad: :cry:

It is okay to be scared. It is only natural. Is there any number you can call to check on the Birth Certificate?

John, I'd find that number and call them to ease your nerves. It's probably in the mail, but it's better to find out. If your Mom feels safe where she is that's important. Do you have a Social Security card that you could use. Most employees will accept that until you get another ID. ((Hugs))

I do have a social security card yes... That's the 1st time someone told me employers would accept that... I didn't even know that...

Thanks for the advice :)... I actually feel a little better right now.. I KNOW I can again succeed when faced with the pressure..

All Mom kept saying to me is.. "What have I done to you..".. I just told her.. "don't worry about it.. I was planning on moving out in a few months anyway {which was true}.. and that I need to learn how to support myself"

I myself am a little disappointed that I may be getting a crash course in the subject instead of a slow ride.. But if I pray and just remain upbeat.. I know I'll survive.. :)

you need a Social Security card before you can work anyway so yes, employers do accept it. If you explain the situation regarding your Birth Certificate then they will probably cut you some slack especially since you are a High School graduate and most of those are over 16.

Hang in there John. God will not let you down, his will is perfect for our lives, we have to just walk in it! I know all about waiting on paper work it is very very nerve wrecking. I have been waiting and filling papers for the last three years so I can stay in this country... Hang in there, Im sure everything will be ok, and I pray the Lord will undertake for you and your Mom in this situation. ;)
