For this time of the year the axis of the ITCZ or (INTERTROPICAL CONVERGENCE ZONE) is in normal latitud position inside the African Continent however in the Tropical Atlantic it is fluctuating between the 5-8n latituds with some more north reflections in some parts of the axis but in general it is normal to have this convergence zone where it is now. Also in some occasions it has been very active like it is now west of 40w and in many times it looks almost dead with almost no convective areas and that is caused by the huge anticyclone and dry air capping the tropical atlantic in those instances.
Axis of ITCZ is in a normal mean position
