After having a chance to glance at the Sat images I need to update the outlook a little.
The convection associated with the wave approaching the Eastern Caribbean and the NE SA coast has been blown apart by the shear still dominating that area. We will continue to watch this wave as it moves Westward toward a more hospitable climate.
The area of interest in the Western Caribbean has also become a victim of shear and land interaction.
Any moisture feed from this area to the GOM currently appears to be cut off by upper level winds coming straight out of the North in that area. However, the deep tropical moisture feed to the TX/LA area continues unabated from the EPAC, which could also see the formation of TS Blas later today. Unfortunately, it appears that this pattern will continue for a while and if it does we may still see some of the moisture from the system that was in the W Caribbean shunted Northward as it gets into the EPAC breeding ground.
