Bud Welch, who lost a daughter in the bombing but opposed the death penalty for Nichols, said in a telephone interview that the state trial was a waste of money.

"It's just a shame that we've paid millions of dollars and spent a tremendous amount of emotions and re-victimized family members to go through this process," Welch said.

That's the real tragedy; the families had to live the ordeal over again for nothing.

That is just a bloody shame! :( So much for justice. If I would have known someone personally who was directly affected by April 19, 1995, I would be visibly funing. :x :grr: :grrr:

He will not last long in the prison system. I am sure there is already a hit out on him by other inmates.

This is a travesty of justice IMO. :-(

Listen, don't sweat it. Sooner or later he'll get his due. Whether in this life or the one to come is the only question. He has to come face to face with what he's done at some point.

So, don't worry...be happy.

He's already been serving a life sentense. Oklahoma in all of their stupidity wasted the tax payers money, reconvicting someone who was already convicted of the crime and is doing life W/O parole

They were going for the big one..the death penalty. IMHO it was indeed a big waste of money, and a real burden on the families of those who lost their lives that day..it wasn't worth it. As abajan stated, he'll get what's due to him eventually.
