Hurricane Alley
A little off topic but, just returned from a 7 day Caribbean Cruise on the Holland America Zuiderdam to St. Thomas & British Tortola, US Virgin Isles. Great trip! Talked to some locals on the islands & there is kind of an uneasy feeling that this might be an eventful year for them. Just started me thinking that these northern Leward islands have certainly experienced some great storms over the years. Sort of the geographical breaking point for some Cape Verdes, starting to move on that NNW track or get ridged & stay more westerly.
