My brief thoughts

#1 Postby cycloneye » Mon Jun 14, 2004 6:03 am

This thought is from me personnaly and not from the storm2k forecast team.

It tried hard to develop into a tropical depression but upper level factors played a big roll in not letting this disturbance get it's act together.Plenty of dry air is presently over the western gulf and that is penetrating the core of the weak low pressure and because of that it will be a rainmaker for the gulf coast states.Let's see if some of that rain go to where it is needed the most.It was a good warmup for those enthusiastic hurricane trackers members here as we for sure be tracking many systems in the comming months. The search for Alex continues and the questions about when and where Alex will form are going to continue to be asked.Let's be patient because the time will come when we will use those charts.

Good call Luis. We should monitor this system now as it will provide a good deal of rain for the Gulf Coast.
