Looks like the NHC is taking it somewhat seriously. The Windwards will see some heavy weather, it appears:

for the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico...

the broad low pressure area over the north-central Gulf of
Mexico has weakened and moved inland over southeastern Louisiana so
there is no longer any chance of tropical cyclone formation.
However...showers and thunderstorms will continue to produce
locally heavy rainfall over portions of the central and
northeastern Gulf states. Interests should closely monitor
forecasts and statements from their local National Weather Service
forecast office.
A vigorous tropical wave located about 475 miles east-southeast of
the Windward Islands is producing scattered showers and
thunderstorms. The system is moving west-northwestward at 15 to 20
mph...and will move across the southern Lesser Antilles tonight and
Wednesday producing brief heavy rainfall and gusty winds.
Tropical cyclone formation is not expected through Wednesday.
