Hi folks, just thought I'd post and say that yes, I'm still alive. I'm looking forward to posting and chatting in the chat room (is it still around?) this season!

Nope, haven't been picked up by a 'nader, but I have seen a bunch this year :). Did a little work for Howie Bluestein's crew this year, mostly driving the X-band radar truck. I was on the Harper County, KS storm on May 12th. Saw something like 6 tornadoes that day, and was quite close to a couple of them (within 2 miles). Also saw a couple tornadoes, one of which was anticyclonic, on May 29 in central OK, and 4 tornadoes near Mulvane, KS on June 12th.

Here are a couple links to some pictures and video for May 12th and June 12th:

FYI, the video files on those pages are quite large (around 40 megs each).

Also, I apologize for the blurriness of the second May 12th video, my camera's focus was incorrect and I didn't realize it until later.

EXCELLENT!! I did not know tornadoes move that slow. The first one seemed to be at a standstill. Amazing! Thanks for sharing that Dan!!
