Reminds me of the 1996 Hurricane Season when Hurricane Bertha, Fran, and Edouard where all in the Atlantic together in one stright line. Bertha and Fran striking the same place in North Carolina and Edouard brushing Nantucket Island.

Bertha occurred in the first half of July...Edouard and Fran came in late August. You may be thinking of the line made by Eduard, Fran, and then Gustav (rather than Bertha). Though Gustav eventually dissipated before it could make it as far as its precedors did.
