The GFS (from the 12Z run) showed a clear closed low moving off Africa and then out into the Atlantic. It is doubtful that this will actually happen as the GFS showed- but it is very cool none-the-less to see such things "spin" up now on the model. Sooner or later, they'll be for real. Can't wait.

Which GFS are you looking at?
Yeah--I wonder the same--only model I can find for that section of the world is from the Navy site and goes through 12z July 4th---Looks like a wave comes off africa around that time.

Dr. Steve Lyons (at 7:50 PM EDT) said nothing is "down the road," after mentioning that the beatiful condition across the Leeward Islands.
I thought he should of mentioned it. It doesn't matter that "it is only June."
