Tropical Weather Outlook

Statement as of 4:00 am HST on July 04, 2004

For the central North Pacific...between 140w and 180
A poorly organized area of thunderstorms associated with an east to west oriented surface trough is more than 1000 miles south of Honolulu...Hawaii. A slight increase in the coverage and intensity of these thunderstorms was observed during the past several hours. Future development...if any...of this disturbance is expected to be slow during the next couple of days as it moves westward at about 15 mph. Elsewhere...no tropical cyclones are expected through early Tuesday morning.
