Too much shear

#4 Postby HUC » Sun Jul 04, 2004 5:44 pm

And,also the wave energy is extended over a great area which not favor concentration, and developpement.Ther is a lot of cirrus east of the wave axis, giving the satellite photo this extended feature.
Here in Guadeloupe,we had some week thunderstorms, giving way to only 10,to 30mm in the island, some gusts, but nothing unusual in this season

It has to make it past the shear and dry air in the Caribbean first. We are watching it though. In fact at least one of our local OCM's is now mentioning it could have an effect on our late week weather. Just what we need-more rain!!
