no Chads wife I did not know there was a Games forum (PC type)
Marshall I have Americas Army (free game that the US Army gave out) I did the boot camp and thats about it.. I got my hands on Battlefield 1942 with the DC mod and it beats AA hands down.. but since AA is free alot of indivs like it better since it cost them nothing but the time to download.
Well if you get a chance check out BF1942 you will NOT be disapointed! OH also for eveyone that reads this.. if you have not played the FAR CRY demo DO SO ITS HOT!!! The MOST REALISTIC FPS that I have EVER PLAYED!

Video gaming, no...but I DID spend not a few hot, dry and dusty weekends as a reenactor (Colour-Sergeant, Coy. B, 33rd Field Regiment, Royal Artillery [UK]), and I learned more about desert warfare (1942 style) doing that than one could EVER glean from a book or videogame.

LOL Marshall.....umm that would be kewl to just TRY on your puter but to play a multi-player you need to have a REAL UNUSED key. The Game of the Year version (I have this one) is avail at Wally World for like 30 bucks. The game is sweet not only is it a FPS game you can also FLY planes, choppers as well as drive tanks, jeeps, buggy's, cars and trucks! TOO SWEET!
That is kewl streetsolider! Glad that you got to experience that.

I spent 12 years reenacting WW II; as a British Colour-Sergeant (N. Africa-Sicily-Italy), U.S. 35th Division Technical Sergeant combat engineeer (Normandy-France) and as an Oberleutnant u. Bataillons-Adjutant, 1./I., Panzer-Fusilier Regiments "Grossdeutschland" (Russia).
As stated, I learned more about the common soldiers, from wherever, slugging it out in the sand-mud-snow than ANY amount of books or classes could have given me...and, at the time, my WW II library had in excess of 400 books in it.
Some things are best DONE rather than read about.
