Weather Station

#1 Postby Guest » Wed Jul 14, 2004 9:44 pm

Who here has a weather station and what would suggest? Looking for something with the works like rain guage, wind, bp, and with computer software.

Wasn't sure where to put this thread, move it if it's annoying

Anything BUT the Sun/Moon Wireless Weather Station... set me back $200 and after using it for a year, I can safely say it isn't worth a quarter of that (and arguably not a quarter itself). Very fancy LCD display with atomic clock sensor, but otherwise useless.

Last week, dendrite at WWBB recommended http://www.provantage.com as a retailer for weather stations... you can get Davis stations for quite cheap there. I am thinking about looking into a Vantage Pro station, but am hesitant because I live in a townhouse and the logistics of setting up the anemometer would be challenging.
