Wind Advisory For Lincoln, NE

#1 Postby weatherwunder » Fri Mar 28, 2003 10:03 am

Statement as of 4:15 am CST on March 28, 2003

...Wind Advisory Is In Effect For Today...

Northwest winds of 20 to 35 mph will continue throughout the day today... with wind gusts at times of 40 mph. The winds will gradually decrease this evening... however... they will remain on the breezy side tonight.

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 mph or greater are occurring or are expected to last an hour or more. Wind gusts of 45 mph or greater may also occur. Winds of this magnitude can cause minor property damage without precautions. Drivers... especially those with high profile or light weight vehicles... may want to postpone travel until the wind subsides.
