32nd Military Police home today
WGBA-TV
July 23 - Relatives are preparing a warm welcome for members of a Wisconsin National Guard unit due back in the state today.
About 150 troops of the 32nd Military Police Company are expected to be greeted by hundreds of people when they arrive at Volk Field near Tomah later today.
They've been overseas for more than a year after having their time in Iraq extended this spring.
They lost one of their members when Specialist Michelle Witmer of New Berlin was killed in an ambush at Baghdad.
She was the first Wisconsin Guard soldier to die in military combat since World War Two.
