Look Out Central Florida
Obviously, the latest 11 pm nhc advisories have Charley strenghthening to a cat 3 at landfall on the west fla coast but, what is significant is the slight east shift to the forecast track - probably landfall now between Tampa Bay & Ft. Meyers - it seems they are more confident in an earlier north then NNE turn. This does not bode well for central Florida counties like Sumter, Lake & even Orange & Seminole. We central Floridians have been thinking most of the day that maybe we were just going to experience pretty mild conditions with the westerly component - doesn't appear that this will hold true now. Don't forget - we'll be on the NE quadrant - could be a very surprising outcome for the metro Orlando area.
