I'm listing to this myself... It's not sounding good at all for the Tampa, t. Pete area. I have a friend in that area that wouldn't leave and a neice in the Sarasota area (2 miles from the Beach) that didn't leave.... Very scary

Good morning Windsong! I watched it, too. Very ominous and scary stuff. I know they had to address "worst case", but the matter-of-fact way they discussed "search & rescue" and fiscal losses sure brings the reality of this home.

I hope and pray for the best for all of those in this storm's path. This news coverage is comforting in the respect that the relief workers are ready to go and they all have a plan. rlar, I hope for the best possible outcome for your niece and your friend.

The over all tone of the Governer's breifing is solom. They made it very clear that the responders are expecting loss of life, economic disaster and everything in between.

Stay safe
