Ya know....I *thought* I saw Mr. Sulu a few years back, well, I was still cutting meat, OBVIOUS now, I "DID" see him! 8-)

Star Trek's 'Captain Sulu' buys new home in Show Low

Special to The Independent 08/17/2004

George Takei, best known for his portrayal of Mr. Sulu in the acclaimed television and film series Star Trek, is a long-time property owner in Show Low, where he owns two homes.
Takei recently purchased a resort cabin in the new Bison Ridge development, and, as a result, he has placed a "for sale" sign on his longtime vacation getaway in Fairway Park.

Takei, who has more than 30 feature films and hundreds of television guest-starting roles to his credit, fell in love with the White Mountains when he first visited them in 1980, and he eventually decided to set down stakes in Fairway Park.
"With my busy travel schedule, I enjoy coming to Show Low for a few days of rest and relaxation when my schedule permits," Takei said. Underscoring his commitment to Show Low, Takei said he recently decided to move to a larger cabin in Bison Ridge, which borders Fairway Park.
"For the right person, my Fairway Park place is ideal," Takei explained. "The property consists of a travel trailer with a pullout attached to a living room, where there is a beautiful wood stove. The trailer is on a huge lot with old pine trees and unobstructed views of Bagnal Wash."
Recognized worldwide as a member of the original Star Trek cast, Takei received a star on Hollywood Boulevard's Walk of Fame in 1986 and he placed his signature and hand print in the forecourt of the landmark Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood in 1991.
Takei co-stars in a new film, "Patient 14", a science-fiction political thriller, scheduled for release later this year.
Among his credits is a music industry accolade - a 1987 Grammy nomination in the "Best Spoken Word or Non-Musical Recording" category. Takei's distinctive voice is featured in Walt Disney Picture's full-length animated feature, Mulan (and the upcoming sequel Mulan II), Star Trek audio novel recordings, Fox Television's The Simpson's, Futurama, and in numerous voice-overs and narrations.
