4:00 PM EDT Storm2k Atlantic Tropical Update,Aug 19

#1 Postby cycloneye » Thu Aug 19, 2004 2:56 pm

With the exception of weakening tropical storm Danielle in the northern eastern atlantic there are no other features that may develop into a tropical cyclone in the near term.

The best candidate for future development and it is iffy at this time is a tropical wave located in the far eastern atlantic near the Cape Verde islands.Convection is mainly confined to the ITCZ but not near a low level circulation located north of the ITCZ axis so in otherwords it is very disorganized at this time but the storm2k forecast team will watch it to see if there are changes on it.

Tropical Storm Danielle continues to weaken as it meaenders in the northern eastern atlantic. No threat to land from it with the exception of the Azores islands where rain will arrive there in comming days.

Elsewhere:

Nothing in the Gulf Of Mexico, nor the caribbean Sea or the western atlantic that might develop at this time.
