Has anyone ever heard of this site?
http://hurricane.weathercenter.com/
It seems to show Frances missing Miami and hitting the East coast....
This map shows it missing Miami...I think

Thanks lilbump. I just thought maybe farther North in Fl than Miami, than what some of the charts seem to show. Do you think that is a big possiblity?

You were looking at the projected path for Gaston instead of Frances. The site is a little confusing. The website is the Tampa Tribune I believe.

cape_escape,
The site you showed (http://www.tbo.com) is the combination site for the Tampa Tribune and WFLA (Channel 8).

Yes, tbo.com is as good as any at forecasting, and particularly sensitive to those living in or near Tampa Bay.
Personally, I only trust my eyes on the radar and my nose to thewind.....but that may be because I was born in FLA and grew up during the strong hurricane years of the 50's.
